Out Of Hours Cover
If you need to see a doctor urgently or need medical advice outside of normal surgery hours you should telephone: NHS Direct on 0845 4647 SELDOC on 020 8693 9066
Please note that you can now dial the Out-of-Hours services directly from our usual telephone number by selecting the appropriate option from the menu.
In case of emergency please dial 999 and ask for an ambulance or attend Accident and Emergency.
NHS Walk-in Centre
In New Cross - No Appointment Necessary The centre is based at 40 Goodwood Road, New Cross, SE14 6BL and provides advice and treatment for minor ailments and injuries including coughs, colds, diarrhoea, vomiting, abdominal pain, urinary tract infections, earache, sore throats, hayfever, rashes, backache, dressings, emergency contraception etc.
It is open Monday to Friday between 7.00am and 10.00pm and at weekends and bank holidays between 8.00am and 8.00pm.
This is a completely free service that is available to everybody. The telephone number is 020 7206 3100.
NHS Direct
In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call
NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
